Solutions that go beyond conventional technologies for terrestrial, aerospace and, soon, submarine environments

Transforming the Future: Innovation, Machine Learning and AI

Innovation is an essential part of our DNA.

We continually invest in R&D, incorporating new technical capabilities in mechanics, automation and data science, including Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques.

Our solutions aim to provide a user-friendly experience, boosting productivity and decision-making based on reliable information.

                 JENTEK® Technology

There are several significant differences between JENTEK® technology and other methodologies that use magnetic fields or eddy currents.

JENTEK® products employ the patented unconventional eddy current technology, MWM-Array®, uniquely designed to facilitate physical-mathematical modeling and obtain results with superior performance.

The acquired data is processed by proprietary software, GridStation®, refined over more than 30 years of inspection experience.

Through the commercial product line, or through R&D, the system is defined to meet the specific needs of each application, enabling customized and effective inspection.

Our sensors are also valuable tools for quality assessment and control in high value-added processes, with the potential for real-time monitoring.

Non-Destructive Testing

The use of NDT plays a crucial role in several industries, enabling the evaluation of materials and assets without compromising their integrity. This approach offers a safe and effective way to inspect, test and diagnose problems, ensuring the quality and reliability of products. With non-destructive testing, it is possible to identify defects, wear and anomalies accurately, contributing to preventive maintenance, operational safety and cost reduction in the long term. Investing in this practice means ensuring the excellence and durability of products, as well as meeting the highest quality and safety standards.

NDT with Eddy Current

During and after World War II, the use of eddy current expanded significantly with the growing demand for fast and reliable inspections of critical parts in the aerospace and defense industries; benefits that gained traction in the oil and gas, automotive and manufacturing industries by the 1980s. With the introduction of digital systems and multi-element sensors, such as the MWM-Array®, the technology has advanced significantly. These systems enable inspection of larger areas with greater resolution and speed. MWM-Array technology can also be used in carbon fiber composites, further expanding its scope.

Know MWM-Array® Strengths:

Data analysis based on physical model and without crosstalk: The drive and sensor elements are designed to eliminate difficult-to-model behavior. Sense elements provide independent responses without crosstalk.

Fully parallel and multiplex-free data acquisition: Simultaneous measurement at each sensing element is enabled by the unique linear central conductor and a linear array of sensing elements with a uniform magnetic field throughout the array.

Rapid scanning at low frequencies: By acquiring data from all sense elements simultaneously, the image resolution is enhanced and it also facilitates faster scanning, even at low frequencies.

High Resolution Deep Penetration Imaging: The engineered geometric relationship between drive and sensor elements (drive-sense gap) enables variable penetration depths without compromising image resolution, even at significant depths. This facilitates precise identification of subsurface defects.

Liftoff compensation: With both, a precise sense-drive gap and inverse methods based on physical-mathematical models, we mitigate the effects of liftoff variations due to surface irregularities, roughness, or thick insulation, enabling reliable inspections on challenging surfaces.

Find out what customers think about JENTEK products

The MWM-Array® enhancement provides improved safety margins for operational aircraft by identifying engine blades and disks with cracks that would not otherwise have been detected, as well as improved levels of “aircraft ready-for-tasking” and reduced inspection costs. Permanently installed fatigue crack detection and monitoring solutions can improve readiness and reduce maintenance costs for specific NAVAIR fleets
